There are 3 parts of the mind:  Cognitive (thinking), Affective (feeling), and Conative (Doing) 

Kolbe deals with the Conative, “doing” part of the mind. It tells us who we are when we are free to be ourselves and is the key to self awareness.  When we understand ourselves and our natural way of initiating action we can put our selves “in the zone” much more often.
